Friday, September 28th

With all the rainy days lately, we've had a lot of time for building new things, so we broke out the tools and blocks. It was great to see friends working together to create one masterpiece.

"This is my baby, Margret".

Nora was being a great friend and giving underdogs to friends on the swings.

Jack and Tyler built a bridge with a board. They balanced their way across.

Ernest was doing some unusual balancing, too.

Friends were getting silly on the slide.

Mira enjoyed painting with pool noodles, using red, green and yellow paint. What can you eat that comes in those three colors? Ask you child. Hint: We've been reading a lot of books about them and will pick them on our field trip.

Another fun activity we did this week was coloring with scented markers. It was fun to see the kids reactions to the different scents and then try to figure out what it was that they were smelling.

Logan, Tyler, Eamonn and Jack doing some quiet reading together.

Graham enjoyed pushing his friend, Nora on the swing.

Raylan, Lexi and Harlow tested their balance on the boarder of the playground.

The best part of having rainy days is finding the biggest puddles to splash in!

Evan helped his friend, Mira balance on the boarder of the playground.

Sleepy sloths, relaxing in the shade.

Nora, Mira and Lexi were hard at work in the house, making mud pizza!

Tuesday, September 25

Exploring a fluffy slime that was made using glue, shaving cream and contact solution.

Emily used beads and strung them in a pattern on a string.

Friends helped Ms. Amy make homemade apple cinnamon play dough.

Eamonn did a smell check for us. It smells of cinnamon!

Drew helped us stir the play dough.

Lexi was testing how stretchy the slime was.

Harlow loved to stretch the slime too!

Another smell check done by Eamonn. This smells of cinnamon too!

More slime stretching.

Evan helping us mix our play dough.

This slime was pretty sticky!

Ernest joined us for some mixing.

We noticed that the play dough was looking dry, so Mira added some water for us.

Raylan did some coloring sorting. We talked about how some apples are red, green or yellow. Next week we will taste test all three and graph our favorites.

Drew was having a relaxing day at the hairdressers.

Cowboy, Drew!

A rainy day calls for some yoga. Cosmic Kids Yoga is a great channel on Youtube. Check it out!

Drew was getting very creative with his magnatile building skills. Nice work!

After some yoga we did a little dancing with GoNoodle.

Jack found a woolly bear caterpillar. It was fun to investigate how it felt on our hands.

Peek-a-boo, I see you!

Mira was showing off some mad skills. She was so proud that she could do something one of our friends in the Discoverers class could do!

Drew worked on painting some Popsicle sticks red for us.

Clara helped, too!

Ernest drew a robot on the white board.

Another rainy day = Lego building.

Nora said that this is what she would like her floor to look like at her house.
