Monday, June 28th

It was a hot day, so we decided to do some water play. We set up the sprinkler on the grass and turned one of our slides into a water slide. It was so much fun!!!

The Explorers discovered that if they use a jump rope around the stumps, they can pull them to a standing position, which is what they like to do to look for bug.

"I drew a speed boat!"

Finley, worked hard on tracing his name.

"Ms. Amy, look how deep this construction truck can dig! It's a dam!"

"Ms. Amy, I made a swimming dinosaur!"

Friday, June 27th

The new, fun way to use the swings is to twist it up and let it spin!

Thank you to Wyatt, and his family for the frozen treat. It was delicious!

At morning meeting, we read a book called "Smug Seagull". It's about a seagull who is an expert swiper of food until he meets a crab who is better than him. In the end, they decide to work together and found out that if they ask for food, people will give it to them instead of them having to take it. As I excused each of them to wash their hands for snack, I gave them the choice to crab walk or fly like a seagull to the bathroom.

Marion, explored magnets and we talked about force. I showed her that she could use the magnet wands to make pieces move around the table without even touching them. She was mesmerized!

Thursday, June 24th

Harper, enjoyed free drawing on the whiteboards during afternoon, choice time.

Ms. Crystal, wrote Crosby's name on another board so that Marion could copy it.

Today, during recess, Wyatt and Luca, made a giant volcano using woodchips. "Watch out, it's going to blow!"

Ava and Harper, worked together to create this dinosaur mansion. They played with this for the entire morning! Nice job staying busy, friends!

"Ms. Amy, I wanna show you something!"

Ava, is now the record holder for how many bouncy balls someone can bounce with at one time :)

Lewyn, challenging herself by balancing on one foot while scootering.

Graham, also, enjoyed free drawing on the whiteboards.

Mae, set the Calico Critters up in the dollhouse. "Dinner time!"

It might be summer break, but these kids are still eager to write their names and other words.

Marion, drew a giraffe under her name.

Maisie, was racing the boats in the puddle. She said that the blue and yellow one is the fastest.

This week, we are doing a lot of free art. I put out materials and they use them however they want (safely of course!).

"Look, I drew a number 5!"
