Friday, November 19th

Anya, working hard on a counting worksheet. We counted the items in each row and identified the number that matched how many items we counted. This is great practice for counting and number recognition.

Alice, Frankie, and Eleanor, set the table for their Thanksgiving feast in the dramatic play area.

Cora asked to hold Sebastian's hand while they walked out at the end of the day.

What do you do when you see snowflakes falling? You lay down on the ground and catch them in your mouth, of course!

Sebastian, working really hard to color in his turkey as colorful as he can.

Alice, enjoying her nicely set table with her baby doll.

Eleanor, coloring her turkey!

Frankie's turkey must have swallowed an eggplant, it's so purple. My favorite color!

Lila, hard at work on her coloring, too!

And Wyatt....

And Alice, too!

Just two friends having a little chat!

I'm not sure why but they all decided to put crates on their heads when they saw Wyatt with the strainer as a hat. What a bunch of goof balls!

Wyatt, working hard on his counting worksheet.

We used kinetic sand to make turkeys. We used colorful feathers, googly eyes and a button for a beak.

Cora, worked on identifying and tracing shapes. It's not easy to stay on the lines. This is great practice for when we doing our first names.

Lila, worked on her tracing, too!

Frankie's turkey!

Odin enjoyed making a turkey, too!

Nora, worked on tracing her shapes.

Eleanor, traced hers in pink!

Ms. Erna came to read us stories again this week. We always have so much fun with her. This week, she brought a felt board along to help her tell the stories. We sing, dance, and have so much fun!

Fluff is soooooooo good!!!

Lila and her family brought in toys from our Amazon Wishlist and we are LOVING them. Thank you so much!!!

Lucian, was reading a book to Lila, during quiet choice time.

Cora, enjoying her time exploring our new Frozen castle and little people set.

Sometimes, the floor is just a comfortable place to be.

Lila, made a "snowman" using the wiki sticks.

Friday, November 12th

Jacob, built an army of "robots" out of the Zoobs. I love how they are all identical.

Sad to say but I think we are in the last couple of weeks of Fall trees, so this week we have done a couple of Fall tree crafts. This one we used Lego pieces to stamp colored "leaves" on our trees.

"Look, it's a triangle!"

During quiet choices, Frankie, worked hard to sort and count our shape, number, and rings puzzles. Great job, Frankie. Together we identified all the numbers, shapes, and colors.

Our other Fall tree crafts was gluing pieces of colored papers to the branches of the tree after we colored it with marker.

This is our new class reward chart. We have been struggling as a whole with listening, following directions, and being kind to one another. We hope that this chart along with reading books kindness and our feelings and how to label and manage them, we can begin to make better choices for ourselves. We will earn a sticker each day successful day, as a whole. Once we have earned 10 stickers, we will get the reward in the picture that follows that row. We are very excited about the rewards but we are not exactly making huge progress. Maybe having conversations at home about having safe, kind, and listening bodies when at school would be helpful. It will make our classroom a much more enjoyable place for everyone

Nora, Mr. Potato Head would like his glasses back, he can't see!"

Some of the Explorers have begun to show interest in tracing their names. This is something that we will be working more and more on as the days go on. How exciting!

Lucian, doing a great job putting together the dinosaur puzzle.

Anya and Odin, worked together to complete the night time animal puzzle

When you lunch is just that good :)

Frankie and Alice, working together on the mermaid puzzle. Nice job!
