Afternoon meeting activity.

Charlotte added underwear to our drawing!

Ethan added the hair!

Cheeks by Lincoln. What a great idea!

Ears were added thanks to Linden.

Miles used red to add pants.

Rory added a belly button onto the drawing.

Shoes were added by Saga and a friend had already added socks. 

Orange socks were added.

During our afternoon meeting we decided to all work together to create a person. The only instructions given were: choose one color and add whatever you'd like to the drawing. If a friend got stumped on what to add, we worked as a team to come up with new ideas. So many fun ideas were shared. The finished product really gave friends a good laugh but there teamwork was very impressive. The finished product was quite impressive as well!

 

Free play time

With a little help from Mrs. Crystal, Miles made a spider.

Hey Ethan what's in there? Friends used the wooden blocks to make a tunnel and the slanted block as a ramp! 

Rory made sure Lincoln had sunscreen on!

Storytime and more!

Lia and Saga enjoy collecting objects from the texture table and sorting them into various bins and boxes.

Erna will be joining us once a month for a special story time in our classroom. She brought winter themed books to share with us.

During story time we were pretending we were sledding. Friends really enjoyed this!

The nugget couch makes for some great fort building. Each piece can, easily, be moved around which make for many different ideas to be shared with friends. They used it to sit on, hide behind, and even like an obstacle course. Great ideas friends!

                    

                            

Snowman art

During morning free play friends used a variety of materials to create a snowman! They were able to color, cut, and glue to create these winter masterpieces!

 

Fun at school!

Hallie and Sloane enjoyed building with our new nugget couch. Hey, they also matched it perfectly!

Fresh snow makes a tasty snack!

Lincoln had a lot of fun with our squigz toys! Too funny!

Name tracing

 During our morning activity, we used paint to trace our names. What a fun way to practice writing our names and letter recognition. Friends are doing a fantastic job identify letters within their name, even noticing letters that begin with different friends name! Amazing work Explorers. 

Counting activity

During afternoon meeting we worked on recognizing numbers up to 11.  We worked as a group to identify each number and if there was a tricky number, we counted the numbers to identify which number came next. Friends took turns counting the animals to correspond with the appropriate number. This class really enjoys activities that involve grouping objects together.  

Arnav and Idalia enjoyed playing with the plus plus blocks during morning free choice.
