Week of October 5th & 6th

Harper, hanging like a monkey.

Graham discovered water in the tire and explored how it moved inside the tire when he rolled it.

Harper, all bundled up and ready to go!

Dr. Luca, at your service!

With Halloween approaching, we started exploring all the creepy crawlies and pumpkins.

Luca, painted a Micky Mouse pumpkin.

Liam, Dwyer and Finely, helped to build an awesome train track and had a blast with the trains.

Oh no, Margaret's hand has turned into a skeleton!

We have been working hard building independence and trying to do things for ourselves before asking for help. This includes, putting on their masks, which can be a tricky task. Help us build independence at home by encouraging your child to try before asking for help.

Ask your child about the flip trick. It's a super easy, fun way for your child to get their jackets on without help from an adult.

Today was a great day for some chalk coloring on our big feet.

Our garden was full of worms wriggling around, today.

Friday, October 2nd

Today was a rainy day, perfect for doing puzzles. The Explorers did such a great job trying their best and focusing on what pieces were corner or edge pieces and trying to match the picture on the board to the piece in their hand. Awesome work!

Marion, chose a puzzle that focused on two things, shape and size!

We used stamps and stamp pads, today.

Morgan and Harper S. enjoyed some free choice with the Calico Critter house.

Finely, built a treehouse with legos.

Rainy days are also good for reading books. That is just what some of our friends decided to do during their free choice. I always love when kids choose reading in the book area.

Harper S. and Liam had fun with the ramps and balls.

Wyatt, played pet vet during his free choice time, today.

Connor and Margaret, took orders over the phone. Miss Juli needed some corn on the cob and strawberries.

Harper L. and Finley, played in the rice bin during free choice. They enjoyed scooping, filling and dumping the rice into different types of containers.

Our water bin was a huge hit this morning! It's always fun to play in water.

While playing with the castle, Graham and Dwyer took a moment to pause and watch the action in the classroom. There is so much excitement to take in!
Mira, Dwyer and Luca, created some pretty cool Mr. Potato Heads!

Mae, enjoyed using the Cars characters and playmat during free choice, today.

Harper L. and Marion, used our word boards to identify letters and make words. Great job, friends!

The light table was a great rainy day activity. We can be so creative with Magna-Tiles!

Graham, built a city using Legos, today during free choice.

Sometime, on a rainy day, we will watch one episode of Super Why. We love this show because it talks so much about letters and sounds. It is such a fun way to incorporate learning into a rainy day.

Liam, enjoyed doing some coloring in his workbook.

Tie-Dye Day!!!
