Week of February 22nd-24th

We started a game of using each others legs as a bridge to go under. I suggested they all line up and the person in the back goes under everyone and stands up at the front of the line and then the next person goes. It was quite a hit! Some of them had a hard time squeezing under, causing the person standing to fall over. It was very silly.

Lewyn, and Margaret, used the big blocks to create a obstacle course.

"Look, I'm surfing!"

Morgan, enjoying dramatic play with the animals

Ava, and Mae, used the paint pallets to paint rainbows and write their name.

We pretended to be birds, perched on top of the climbing dome. They thought it was funny that Ms. Amy, climbed to the top!

The Explorers had fun sledding on our little snow hill.

Wyatt, built a tower on top of the truck that was tipped on its side. Liam just wanted to be in the picture :)

Finley, and Connor, snuggled up to read books during quiet choices.

Crosby, telling me about the picture that he drew of his whole family.

Thursday, February 18th

Morgan used a chunk of ice as her "map". She used it to find her way around the playground. The map was telling her to find her way to the top of the structure, but there was no ladder up.

Yesterday, we had fun picking up large pieces of crusted over snow. Mae, found the biggest piece of the day!

Graham made a person using the suction toys. We, also, discovered that they stick perfectly to our foreheads :)

"Ms. Amy, come quick, look at our rainbow!"

Mae, used the markers and large paper to trace her shoe print.

We used the floam with the Elsa characters and pretended they floam was their ice castle.

"Look, it's a sunshine!"

Static hair, don't care!

The Explorers used cars to trace our letter roads. Just another fun way that we learn the alphabet!

Graham made a carrot nose using the floam.

Friday, February 12th

Lewyn did an amazing job coloring inside the lines on her Valentine's Day coloring page.

Graham enjoyed using the stickers to make Valentine's for his family.

Finley asked to trace his name on the back of his Valentine.

Since it was so cold today, we stayed in and made Valentines and colored pictures.

We did some Simon Says...

and watched a short Pete the Cat Valentine show.

Everyone was so excited to get to put their cards in their friends bags. They looked at the names on the cards and matched them up with the names on the bag. Great letter recognition activity.

Margaret and Liam built a house for their people using the giant, wooden blocks.

Liam sang "rock baby" as he rocked the cradle.

Crosby made a butterfly out of Magnatiles. He was very amazed with its ability to bend in the middle and flap like real butterfly wings!
