Today, we used Q-Tips as dinosaur "bones" and created our own dinosaur skeletons. This was a super fun activity. They were so creative with their designs.
Luca, Wyatt, and Dwyer, worked together to build this massive, structure for their trucks.
We used a couple of references when creating our skeletons. One was a book with a picture of a real skeleton, and the other was a printed picture of someone else's Q-Tip project.
Finley and Crosby, used the tree blocks to build tall structures, until they came crashing down.
Graham, showed his skills with the stencils. It's not easy to hold a stencil steady while you trace it. Nice work, Graham!
Harper, drew a "talking flower" during quiet choices.
We worked on a couple of different dinosaur worksheets. One was finishing patterns, and the other was matching up each dinosaur with their means of transportation; do they fly, swim, or walk on land?
We are still working on our number recognition and counting skills. We are using dinosaurs and eggs to match.
Another way we explored dinosaurs this week was, we used counting blocks to measure how tall and long different dinosaurs are.
