Week of September 26th-30th

The Explorers showed incredible teamwork as they built this amazing crate structure.

Given the season, we have been talkin a lot about the changing of the leaves, apples, and pumpkins. We used apple trees and barrels with the numbers as a matching game. The Explorers did an awesome job counting the apples on each tree and finding the number to match and putting them together. If they needed help to identify the number, I wrote it down and they were about the find the one that looked like the number I showed them.

Ivy was mesmerized with the feeling of the kinetic sand as it slowly "melted" from her hand.

Another activity we did this week was using tangrams to create different letters. This is Lucy, making the letter P.

To go along with all of our apple talk, we painted apples using paper plates. Our apples looked so delicious!

To help strengthen our fine motor muscles, we used wooden mallets and golf tees and hammered them into Styrofoam blocks.
