During morning meeting, we worked on a matching game. Friends picked an animal from the pile and said the name. By saying the name it helped friends figure out the beginning letter and sound of the animal they chose. We worked on letter recognition and letter sound to figure out which letter the animal matched with.
S is for screwdriver!
O is for Olaf.
K is for Kristoff.
At morning meeting everyone was asked to find a small object within the classroom and bring it to circle. At which point friends were called upon to tell us the item they chose and match it with the corresponding letter. Friends were great listeners and helped each other, when needed, to identify the corresponding letter to their object.
