Tuesday, December 8th

Morgan's job this week is the sweeper. She has been a great job, helping to clean up after snack.

This week, we have been busy building gingerbread felt people...

And decorating felt trees.

We've been making more ornaments. This time, we used popsicle sticks to make a triangle shape, colored the popsicle sticks green, and added different pieces of pipe cleaners to make the ornaments. All of the ornaments we make will stay on our classroom tree until Christmas break, and then they will go home to be displayed on your tree.

We created an arctic habitat using blocks of ice  and arctic animals. We added chisels and wooden mallets for some added fun. This activity has been a huge hit in the classroom.

Today, we made Grinch faces. We painted paper plates green, added yellow eyes, a red hat and glued on some cotton balls for the fur around the hat.

During morning meeting, we read a book about hibernation. We, then, identified different animals and discussed where they thought each animal would go to hibernate. Tomorrow, we will read about and discuss migration.

Crosby found that the tires on the playground had ice inside of them. He worked to remove the ice and collect it into a container.
