Monday and Tuesday August 30th-31st

The Explorers enjoyed taking off their shoes and socks and feeling the sand between their toes as they shoveled, scooped, and dumped the sand in the sandbox.

Silas, was very proud of himself or climbing all the way to the top of the climbing dome. Nice job, Silas!

Yesterday, after the rain had stopped, we enjoyed exploring all the wet parts of the playground. This is what being a kid is all about!

Cora, asked me to help her color the giant foot with chalk. As we colored together she said "I love you!".

Nora, said "Look, I dressed my baby!" Which is not an easy thing for a 3 year old to do. Very good fine motor practice.

Eleanor, very intently laid out Magna-Tiles across the whole light table. The colors are mesmerizing!

These friends worked hard together to build a "house" out of the tires.

Nora, and Anya, used sponges and buckets of water to wash the chalkboard outside.

Explorers 2021/2022 First couple of days

The Explorers are having a great first couple of days at preschool. We have started to get to know one another and learn some of the classroom routines. Here are a few pictures from the last two days.
Today, we used paint sticks. These are a great alternative to messy paint. They are the perfect fit for little hands. Great fine motor practice, too!

Outside, friends enjoyed kicking soccer balls around the playground, passing them back and forth to each other.

Anya, being silly on the bouncy ball.

Sebastian and Wyatt, worked together to create different creatures with the suction toys.

Ellie, settled into the classroom this morning by listening to some book on tapes. Frozen was her favorite!

Here comes Frankie, down the slide!!

And Odin...

And Nora...

And Ellie, too!

Lila, tried out the green slide. It was much nicer in the shade.

Luna and Alice. Making new friends is so much fun!

Cora, tried out her balancing skills on the stilts. Walking is a little tricky, but she did great!

"Cheese!"

Nora, also used the stilts really well!

Cora, really enjoyed the dramatic play kitchen.

Odin, exploring the rocket ship toys.

Building creations and story time!

Wow! Nice structure Ethan. A snowstorm gave Oliver and Idalia perfect snowman making snow! A sunny walk to story time at the library. Hokey,...
