First we started our tour in the classroom. We learned all about bees and how they help an orchard grow apples. |
We pretended to be apple trees at their flower stage and the bee pollinated our flowers and they turned into apples. |
After we learned all about the bees, we walked down into the Orchard to learn about the trees and creatures who might be lurking in the Orchard. |
We had some very strong helpers to pull and push the wagon full of apples. |
After we picked apples, we walked back up to the barn where we learned how to make cider. After we watched the apples being pressed, we got to sample it! It was so tasty! |
This is what trying to get 17 three and four year old kids to sit for a picture looks like.....keep scrolling..... |
Ha ha! Thanks to all of our parent chaperones. We couldn't have done it without you! |
Let the picking begin! |
After all the learning and hard work was done, we crunched into our nice, juicy apples together! |
What a beautiful view of Vermont on a Fall day! |
Apples! |
We just wanted to say thank you to the mysterious leaver of flowers. It was such a kind gesture and so nice to come back to flowers after a busy morning at Chapins Orchard. |
